This includes things like syncing your listings, managing bookings, messaging guests and handling payments from one place. This page explains what information we collect, why we collect it, and what choices and rights you have regarding your information.
1. What and why we collect:
We don't collect information just to have it. We collect information that you give us directly that we need to make the product work or that we pick up automatically while you use Hostastic.
Here is what we collect and why:
- Your name, email, phone and business details:
So, we can set up your account send you the information and know who we're talking to. We need your name and email to create your account and send you updates.
- Login and account info:
To keep your account secure and let you sign in. We use this information to protect your account and make sure only you can access it.
- Guest and reservation details (names, dates, contact info):
We help you manage bookings so we need this information to make it work. We only use this to run the service you asked for never for our marketing.
- Payment details (card, bank info, transaction history):
To process payments and payouts. Your card details go through a payment processor. Payments are securely processed through trusted third-party payment providers. Hostastic reserves the right to determine whether a refund is applicable based on the circumstances of each request.
- Device, browser and usage data (pages visited, clicks, location):
This helps us understand how people use Hostastic fix bugs and improve the product.
2. Cookies:
- For login sessions remembering your settings, basic analytics and. If you've opted in Relevant ads.
- Support messages and feedback, So we can help you when you reach out and learn what to improve.
We use a kind of cookies:
- Essential ones (so the site works at all)
- Analytics ones (so we understand usage)
- Marketing ones for ads and retargeting (only with your consent where required)

3. How we use it
We mainly use your information to run and improve Hostastic. This includes keeping your account working, processing bookings and payments answering support questions catching fraud or suspicious activity and building features.
We may also use some AI-assisted tools. For example, we may use AI-assisted tools to improve our Services, such as drafting responses, detecting unusual activity, and providing recommendations. These tools may process personal information as needed to provide the Service. AI does not make final decisions that have legal or significant effects on users; such decisions are always reviewed by a human.
We'll occasionally send you product updates or offers by email. You can opt out of that anytime with one click. We'll still need to send you account and booking notifications though.
4. Who we share it with
We're not in the business of selling your data. We do work with trusted partners who help us run Hostastic. These partners include cloud hosting providers, payment processors, customer support tools, analytics providers and similar vendors. They only get the data they need to do their job under contracts that require them to keep it safe.
We may also share information if the law requires it to protect someones safety or if Hostastic is ever acquired or merged. We'd let you know if that happens.
5. Where your data lives
Like software companies we use cloud infrastructure that may be located outside your own country. Wherever your data is processed we make sure its protected using recognized safeguards.
6. Keeping your data safe
We use encryption, access controls and regular security reviews to protect your information. No system is 100% unbreakable so we can't make guarantees. We take this seriously and will let you know if something ever goes wrong that affects you.
7. How long we keep it
We keep your data for as long as your account remain active plus a reasonable period afterward for legal, tax or accounting reasons. After that we delete it or anonymize it.
8. Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live you may have the right to see what data we hold about you ask us to correct or delete it get a copy in a format or object to certain uses.
- California residents: we don't sell your info for money. If you'd like to opt out of any adrelated data sharing you can do.
- EU/UK residents: you also have the right to lodge a complaint with your data protection authority if you're ever unhappy with how we've handled things.
9. Kids
Hostastic isn't meant for children. We require users to be at least [16/18] years old and we don't knowingly collect information from anyone younger. If we find out we have we'll delete it.
10. If this policy changes
We'll update this page if anything meaningful changes. The date at the top always tells you when it was last updated.
